WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PULVERIZER, A GRATER, A GRINDER AND THE HAMMER MILL?

Good day guys, it's your guy again- The garriguy!😍😜😀

Many actually confuse the thought that calling myself the garriguy means I produce garri 😂

Well, as lovely as the thought is, I am actually a fabricator of garri processing machines and other agro-processing machines and not only garri machines. The name was derived from when I was a producer and a seller of garri- A time I would cherish and forever be grateful for and would relish the opportunity again- but time is a witch.😃

Without time wasting, I want to describe in short, the difference between the grater, pulverizer, grinder, and the hammer mill

The difference and similarities between a grater, a grinder, a pulveriser and a hammer mill

First, you should understand that all these machines work for one purpose- further breaking down a substance from a coarse or solid state, into a more finer state.

Let's talk about these differences and or similarities

A GRATER

works only for fresh cassava tubers. Its main and mostly only purpose is to grate _(not crush, or grind)_ the cassava tubers into _coarse_ mashes. The process of grating is as simple as the meaning- you need the cassava in coarse form not fine slurry form. The reason is to obtain an easy coarse form of the finished product. And this can only be achieved through grating.

The Grinder is another machine on its own, always being confused with the grater. A grinder cannot work for wet tubers, unless it is being first, broken down into smaller pieces thru slicing. A very tedious and unnecessary step. A grinder could also obtain a coarse finish with ready-made adjustments, but it mostly meant to produce an almost fine finish. A grinder works by the constant grinding of two fictional steel plates, thereby, leaving an amount of unavoidable traces of iron filings. This, for those who intend to package their products, is an impurity and a rejection of such products is imminent if tested.

The hammer mill

could be said to be just another grinder, but more sophisticated, as it could be used in a feed-milling system. But the introduction of it into the garri processing system, is to grind without any traces of iron filings. It works by hammering the product into shape. A hammer mill cannot work on wet tubers in the case of garri processing. But in starch processing, the first breaking-down process, after peeling is the hammer mill or a crusher. It breaks the cassava tubers down into wet slurry, ready for starch production. But in the case of garri processing, it works to break down the solid Koko garri, without leaving a traces of iron filings.

The pulveriser

is a new friend in the garri processing settings. A pulveriser works like a grater and a grinder, put together but it only helps in increasing your volume of Garri by breaking down your cassava cake after pressing

BUT FOR THE PURPOSE OF OUR OWN CLIENTS, WE PROVIDE A HAMMER MILL AND MOD IT TO PERFORM THE JOB OF BOTH A PULVERIZER AND A GRINDER. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT IT EQUALLY, BY 100%, PERFORMS ITS PRIMARY JOB OF A HAMMER MILL, WHICH CRUSHES ANYTHING INTO SMALLER PARTS. MAIZE, MILLETS, CASSAVA, AND YAM LUMPS FOR FLOUR AND SO ON.
