WHICH IS BETTER? IMPORTED OR LOCALLY FABRICATED MACHINES

Good day, guys, how is the present lockdown treating you?  πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

Well, if I had to answer that myself, I would say, it is making me fat, πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. But what can I do, ehn? Na to just leave everything to God's hand. And if you're wondering if we are still working? Well, we are an agricultural-related company, so, we are covered. As a matter of fact, below is the video of our newly installed factory at Kogi State, for the Kogi State government, in five (5) different local governments across the State? 😍

For a first, please be informed that I will give my unbiased opinion- first, as a fabricator and second, as a consultant- the only garri consultant on this earth.. lol

Why choose imported machines over the locally fabricated machines?

The choice of choosing between imported over the locally fabricated depends largely on the pocket of a client. A client with a high taste may decide to go for the imported machines because of the beauty, based on the fine finish, owed largely to the availability of cutting edge technology used in fabrication, that cuts the imported and the locally made machines into different, glaring, distinctive unequal halves. This is the main and mostly, only reason a client chooses imported machines over the locally fabricated.

But then, do not be deceived, as we have also fabricated machines that compete in the fine finish, with the imported ones. We may not have all the technologies, but we have achieved sometimes, better than what many expected fabricated beautifully finished products. The only problem is that most people will not be willing to pay for the cost of these machines because of the competition in price with the imported, forgetting the many advantages of buying from us, as against buying from there. Below are some of our beautifully finished fine products.

BUT THEN, DO THE IMPORTED MACHINERY WORK BETTER THAN THE LOCALLY FABRICATED?

Well, the answer is NO. Being imported, when we talk of agricultural machinery, does not equate to effectiveness. For an agricultural product to be produced, there is a process for the machine and the process is mostly universal. To make it more simple, you can not put a cassava tuber in a machine and wait at another end to get your finished garri. And while these processes could be integrated with conveyors, they are still different processes and each processing is universal. The locally-made machines, if properly done, will work better than the imported counterpart.

In garri processing and other agro-processing that involves distinct agricultural products that are peculiar to us alone, the imported mostly never works as it is needed to. We have repaired a number of imported automated fryers and peelers.

AND WHY IS THIS SO?

For example, in the case of garri processing, most imported machines could only be tested with potatoes or a very small quantity of cassava tubers. Most machines are fabricated based on theories. The imported automatic fryers are the worst! We have repaired a number of them, some are certified useless! First, they are overly expensive, do not use the planetary rotary system of paddling (almost all are straight paddle system), turn garri into powder (most locally fabricators who like to copy works also have the same problem. To achieve a fine finish with an automatic fryer, there is a catch. apart of from using the same techniques as the manually frying trays, there is a catch to its fabrication that makes our automatic fryers stand out)

Also, note, that most imported machines are stated far above their capacities. For example, our own fryer is 4ft in diameter (1.2m) and it cannot take more than 50kg pulp. But the imported are less or the same, but are stated to take 250kg or even 1ton in one hour!

Now, understand this- you can't fast-track the frying time of garri. Too much quantity means too much time to fry and a very sure uneven frying. Too much fire means burning even before cooking. Too much stirring is even worst.

Most machines from yonder stated to be stainless are just high grade galvanized steel that would rust with time

Then, before you choose between both, there are some questions you need to answer...

1. WHO DOES YOUR REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE?

Well, what are friends for? Our company is ready to repair your imported machines. But I should let you know that most are always written off because the design could not be repaired. Not for lack of knowledge of how it is done, but because the part-to-fabrication design is against all odds of even working effectively. So, you'll have to replace it. And when we repair, (kindly read this next statement is slow-motionπŸ˜ƒ), it is very expensive. As most parts need to be replaced. Below is an example of an imported fryer we condemned in BENUE STATE, NIGERIA. We had to do a new one for the client.

2. HOW WELL WERE THE MACHINES TESTED?

This is self-explanatory. I have made it known that most of these machines are not tested at all. Most videos are doctored or with synthetic produce. And where they do, note that they only have one or two videos for years because they can only test with the few products they can get- because most grass-roots agricultural produce doesn't grow up there. You should note, that most of these machines are designed here, the schematic sent over there to be fabricated and are re-imported back to the country. So, it is of the belief and hopes that they will work. Like I said, mainly because the processing of agricultural produce is universal and designing a machine by the theory of the process is not impossible. But then, would you not rather accept that the local fabricator fabricates, delivers, test run with live agricultural produce before you let him go, than import, then notice its inefficacy but with no one to call. Because unless it is a very large shipment, you would think twice before paying for their experts to come over and work on them! So, why waste time. Choose a leading and God-fearing locally fabricating company with result-driven policy- i mean CHOOSE ME πŸ‘πŸ‘. Call me now/whatsapp +2347035593128  😎😎😍πŸ’ͺ

3. DELIVERY COST AND EASE OF DOING BUSINESS?

I want to believe that this last point clearly explains itself, right?
